Marc Harris, Camp Director

Since 2004, I have been a math and science teacher at Avon Avenue School in the Newark Public School System. While I was working on the Summer School Program a friend asked me to help out doing a project at LifeCamp in rural New Jersey.  I didn’t know what to expect, but I did not expect to fall in love.  

Unlike the Newark Public School Summer program, the kids at Life camp WANTED to be there. They were having a great time challenging themselves, building relationships and encouraging one another. I loved seeing them thrive.

Like our beloved Eddie Franz, Camp Director for more than 30 years before me, I want LifeCamp to be a special place for kids from greater Newark. It is my goal to serve the very best I can in helping set up the campers for success. It is a privilege to work and be a part of LifeCamp.
